Bio

Blake Whitmire is a Texas-born troubadour whose voice sounds like gold dust and gravel, equal parts smooth, soulful, and rooted in something deeper than genre. Raised in Lubbock and trained at Berklee College of Music, Blake’s foundation is technical, but his delivery is all heart. With a fiddle in one hand, a guitar in the other, and a story to tell, he’s become a staple in the Austin country scene. Nominated for Best Strings/Fiddle at the Austin Music Awards and known for setting the dance floor on fire with nothing but a song.

Blake carries the spirit of traditional country– dusty, earnest, and deeply felt—but with a modern soul that says “y’all means all.” He’s backed powerhouse voices like Summer Dean and Brennen Leigh, but step into one of his own sets and you’ll feel why he’s a lead man. Blake brings grit and grace, swing and stillness, wit and wonder.

Whether it’s a honky-tonk two-step or a slow-burning ballad, he invites you in. No pretense. No polish. Just pure musical soul crafted from Texas dirt, refined through years and delivered with the kind of ease you can’t fake. In a world full of rhinestones, Blake Whitmire is the real diamond.
